How do I set up multiple accounts for my household?

Each person will need to register a free Kabata account. A personal account allows Kabata to store your preferences and record your metrics. When you connect your Kabata device, we'll automatically link your account to your household.

Why can’t I connect to my Kabata?

If your base does not show up on the connectivity sheet, it may be because it's currently connected to a different device or application, or because the connection is down.

Why can’t I update my Kabata’s firmware?

Ensure both dumbbells and base are connected to power and turned on to guarantee they're charged. If the update fails after connecting to the base, the updates may not have downloaded properly to your phone due to network or server issues.

Check that you have an active internet connection. If our servers are down, wait until they're back online before attempting the update again.

Why are my repetitions not counting? Why do I get low ROM? Why do my metrics seem inaccurate?

What happens if my Kabata app crashes during a workout? Can I resume where I left off?

Unfortunately, the App is currently unable to restore or resume an exited workout.

If the APP crashes on you mid workout, you will need to start the workout again.

However, you can credit yourself the repetitions for each movement and then hit “Next”

Is the product waterproof?

No, the product is not waterproof. The electronics are located only in the dumbbell handle and base. While the weights themselves contain no electronics and won't suffer electrical damage, the product should never be submerged in water. The base does include drains to handle accidental liquid spills.
