Pairing on iOS
- Open the Kabata app.
- Select the dumbbell icon at the top right corner of the Home screen (Workout tab).
- When the connectivity sheet appears, Kabata will begin searching for available bases.
- Select your Kabata from the list to start pairing.
- Once connected, the Kabata app will communicate with the base during a workout.
Additionally, you can select settings, at the top right of the connectivity sheet, to update the base firmware, change the default light color, or forget device.

How to troubleshoot connectivity issues
If you are having issues connecting to the Kabata base, follow these steps:
- Only one application can connect to Kabata at one time. Ensure that another application or phone is not already connected to the base you are attempting to connect to.
- Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. You can do this from your phone's Settings app.
- Ensure that the Kabata app has permission to use Bluetooth. Open the Settings app on your phone, find Kabata, then turn on the Bluetooth permission.
- Quit and restart the Kabata app.
- Power the base off and then power it back on.
